New Malden commemorates the blitz

This September is the 70th anniversary of the ‘Malden Blitz’.

In 1940 more than eighty civillians were killed in New Malden, the first area in London to be hit by German bombs.

A commemorative service is being held in September to mark the occasion and any memorabillia from the time is needed.

Reverend Stephen Kuhrt told us what kind of things they’re after.
