Cobham man sentenced over construction site death
A Cobham man and a man from Slough have been sentenced for offences following the death of a lawyer who was crushed to death by unsecured window frames at a construction site in Mayfair.
Amanda Telfer died on the 30th of August 2012 when she passed by the building site in Hanover Square.
Kelvin Adsett, who was convicted in March, was sentenced to 12 months in jail for manslaughter and 9 months for health and safety offences.
Damian Lakin-Hall from Cobham who was convicted of offences under the Health and Safety at Work Act was given six months, suspended for two years.
The construction company, IS Europe Limited, was fined £100,000, but the court was told their accounts contained only £250.
