Detectives are renewing appeals for information following the murder of a man in Hounslow

One week on from murder, detectives will be conducting an appeal for witnesses at the scene, and in the vicinity of the bars, that 31-year-old Kamil Metler had visited the evening before his death.

Detective Inspector Will Reynolds, from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "My team is working hard to piece together the sequence of events leading up to Kamil's death. It is vital that we trace the man who was with him in the early hours of last Sunday.

"I urge this man to come forward to police as soon as possible. I would also like to appeal to the Polish community in west London to come forward if they knew Kamil and can provide any information that could assist police in tracing his next of kin in Poland.

"In terms of the wider public, we are keen to hear from anyone who saw the Kamil and his companions together inside Yates pub, outside on Lampton Road, or in the area known locally as Central House, at around 3am. Did you see the man and woman he was with?"

Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to Montague Road in Hounslow at 2.52am last Sunday.

At the scene, Kamil was found collapsed in the alleyway between Lampton Road and Montague Road.

He had suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene a short time later.

A few hours before his death, Kamil was in the Yates pub on Bath Road.

He left the pub and was seen on the street outside with a man and a woman.

The three then moved along Lampton Road to the alleyway at around 2.45am.

The woman was seen to run out of the alleyway back into Lampton Road shortly after and the man walked out of the alleyway in the opposite direction, into Montague Road and then in the direction of the High Street.

The woman has since contacted police and is being treated as a witness.

However, officers are continuing to appeal for the man who was seen in Kamil's company to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4005 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
