Richmond's cabinet member for the environment tells Jackie's Lucy Mayer why the council is supporting moves to ban dangerous fuels and log burners


Did you know every borough in London is designated a “smoke control area?”

This means you can't emit smoke from a chimney unless you're burning an authorised fuel.

Earlier this week, Environment Secretary Michael Gove announced his intention to ban pollutants such as log burner and open fire fuels.

But authorities like Richmond are already cracking down on these kind of pollutants.
