The Museum of Croydon hosts suffragette exhibition

The Museum of Croydon’s hosting an exhibition celebrating the life of one of the area’s suffragettes.

Katie Edith Gliddon was sentenced to hard labour in 1912 after she smashed a Post Office Window while protesting for women’s right to vote.

The showcase runs until the end of the month, and explores her legacy through a series of free events, and the display which is open daily.
