A man convicted of killing a woman in a speedboat crash near Wandsworth Bridge on their first date has consented to being extradited.

Jack Shepherd went on the run and was convicted in his absence for the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown, on the River Thames in 2015.

Appearing in court in Georgia, the 31 year old says he wants to return to the UK to try to overturn his conviction.

Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt has been watching proceedings.
