The Queen Elizabeth Foundation thanks everyone who has taken part in The 2.6 Challenge fundraiser
The London Marathon was due to take place yesterday.
But as it was called off due to the Coronavirus pandemic, people across the country took fundraising matters into their own hands.
The Queen Elizabeth Foundation was one of those calling on people to take part in the fundraiser to help keep it afloat.
What is the 2.6 Challenge?
All you need to do is dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it.
This could be something as simple as pledging to run or ride 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, holding the plank for 2.6 minutes, to gardening for 26 minutes.
There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time.
The Leatherhead based QEF's CEO Karen Deacon explains what the challenge means to the charity.
QEF is a national charity committed to providing life-transforming services that enable people with disabilities to increase their independence and achieve their goals in life.
The Leatherhead based charity works with over 5,000 children and adults every year with physical or learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries.
Whether it’s gaining new skills to live independently, rehabilitation after a brain injury or stroke, or improving independence through increased mobility and accessible holidays, QEF helps disabled people to fulfil their potential in life.
