Tenants could be evicted without help from a duty solicitor, under plans by Brentford County Court

The Law Gazette reports that the court’s consulting on plans to resume housing possession cases next month.

It’s considering hearings through phone or Skype, after a 90 day pause.

However, it notes that “there will almost certainly be no ‘duty solicitor’ scheme in operation”

Defendants will be “more strongly” encouraged to take early legal aid assistance.
