Surgeons at St George’s Hospital in Tooting have saved the life of a baby girl born with an ultra-rare condition

Connie was born with a “dead bowel,” and it was initially believed that the procedure was high risk and could have questionable results.

However, after 95 days of surgery and care, the results were so good that it was decided she needed no further support.

Her mum Deborah says “they worked with us every day, and gave us so much time” and made it feel like “Connie was their only patient”.
