Heathrow is calling for the green list of countries to be expanded, saying it’s “overly cautious”

The airport says the other controls in place mean that nations, including the US, should be included in the next update to the list.

Numbers were down 92% in April, compared to before the pandemic.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock says the country is dealing with one of the “strongest threats” to public health, and makes “no apologies” for the measures.
