A charity in Hammersmith is warning that impending hunger, homelessness and debt could be the nation’s next pandemic.

Turn2us is responding to the latest unemployment figures from the Office of National Statistics.

At the end of July, employers will be required to contribute 20-30% of the wages of furloughed employees.

The charity is predicting this will result in an increase in redundancies for companies struggling to cover costs.
