At the end of March, most staff the Institute of Cancer Research had to leave due to the lockdown.
Only those who were analysing critical clinical trial samples, or carrying out research into coronavirus, were able to stay.
They’re building up to a “maximum safe capacity”, with staggered working patterns and safety training.
