Hammersmith and Fulham Council spent over £12,000 trying to keep secret the name of a teen who tried to kill a child in the Tate Modern

The PA news agency reports that while he committed the crime two months before his 18th birthday, that protection later expired.

The authority has ordered a serious review into the incident, as he was under their care at the time.

Jonty Bravery, who has autism and a personality disorder, was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison.

He told onlookers that social services were to blame for the act.
