Hounslow Council has released a statement discouraging the use of cycling on pavements

The authority says that while the recent upsurge in cycling is welcome, footbaths need to be safe for pedestrians.

Cyclists are being urged to “do their bit” and stay on the cycle path or road network.

Footpaths can only be used for cycling when they are marked for shared use.
