Hounslow House has been lit up purple in solidarity with black people around the world.


It follows riots across the US after the death of George Floyd.

Meanwhile, Putney MP Fleur Anderson is calling on the government to stop selling riot shields, tear gas, and rubber bullets to the US.

The Labour MP is "the UK cannot enable the use of violence against anti-racist protectors".

A government spokesperson said:
"We take our export responsibilities seriously and assess export licence applications in accordance with strict licensing criteria."
