Officers are appealing for information in Ewell following a racially aggravated attack.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of threatening to harm others with a knife and racial abuse.
A second man in his 30s was arrested in connection with same the same incident and both men are in custody for police questioning.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in Gatley Avenue between 9 and 10 pm
