People are being sent fake messages telling them they have been “caught” flouting the government’s lockdown rules

It asks people to visit a link and pay £35.

Richmond Council leader Gareth Roberts says, “if you are sent a message from any official organisation asking for money or any personal information, it is almost certain to be a fake”.

People are advised to ignore the message.
