The Coronavirus pandemic has left Historic Royal Palaces with a funding shortfall of £95 million this year

The charity, which manages sites including Hampton Court Palace, had to shut its attractions at the start of the outbreak.

Conservation and maintenance of the historic buildings topped £37 million last year; the work is usually funded by visitor income.

HRP is calling on people to donate to help keep its sites open.
