The pandemic has caused a drop in income for households across the UK

Research by Hammersmith-based charity Turn2Us says people are expecting an average 22% drop in income.

People on zero-hours contracts are being hit hardest, with just under 80% of people having taken a hit due to COVID-19.

The charity is urging the government to increase the generosity of benefits, end the five week wait for universal credit, and extend the furlough scheme.
