The way to fix the housing crisis is to build more retirement homes, according to a new report


The Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation says elderly people should downsize so families can take their homes.

The study highlights retirement communities being built in Epsom and Walton.

7,000 new homes are built specifically for the elderly each year, but with 180,000 65+ households created each year.
