Up to 25,000 jobs could go at Heathrow, as new quarantine measures come in for travellers
People coming to the UK must now self-isolate for 14 days from arrival.
John Holland-Kaye's told The City View podcast he's having to consider job cuts as a result.
The Heathrow No Third Runway alliance says:
“These are challenging times for the aviation sector, but it’s quite a cheek for Heathrow to try to simply attribute job losses to its latest squabble with government.
“Heathrow is a model of indebtedness. It even borrowed the money to pay £100m of dividends a few weeks ago, against a loss in the final quarter of 2019.
“Its business model is a debt-ridden house of cards, so bereft of any resilience for these challenging times. And it only has itself to blame for that.”
