A man and his motorbike have been rescued from sinking mud at Chiswick Eyot

Chiswick RNLI was alerted by a member of the public before scrambling to free him.

It’s unclear how the man and his motorbike came to enter the water.

Chiswick lifeboat station remains the second busiest in the country behind Tower London.
