Firefighters were called to Hammond Avenue just after 5pm last night and the man was treated at the scene.
Meanwhile part of a maisonette was damaged in another fire in Battersea yesterday lunchtime.
The blaze broke out in Strasburg Road; one man made his way out of the property before firefighters arrived.
