A reported shark in the River Thames in Hammersmith was just a hoax, according to the Port of London Authority

The Authority told the Evening Standard that a man had called them to say he had made the images in photoshop.

Sharks and porpoises have been seen in the Thames before, although it is rare.

The shark fin was seen in front of the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, as well as next to Hammersmith Bridge.
