A solicitor from Hounslow had admitted an “innocent mistake” of emailing client data to her personal account.

Parminder Kaur Dhillon from Lovell Chohan says she was sending templates and precedents to herself before handing in her notice.

She says she didn’t realise it contained personal data.

She’s since removed it and apologised to everyone concerned.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority decided a full prosecution wasn’t warranted, but she still had to pay £6,600 in costs.
