Another person has stepped in to try and fight job cuts at Heathrow


Feltham and Heston MP Seema Malhotra has spoken out about the potential redundancies of 459 workers, who handed out face masks and managed social distancing.

She says two-thirds of the staff are women, and many from ethnic minority backgrounds.

She says this group are hit harder both health-wise and economically from COVID-19.

Passenger numbers have plummeted since countries around the world started lockdowns, and the airport says they’re exploring options to avoid job losses.
