The Heathrow-based airline has operated the aircraft since the 80s, and was planning to stop using them over the next few years.
BA says the downturn in demand for travel, caused by the pandemic, means it's unlikely they'll reinstate the grounded planes, nicknamed the "Queen of the Skies".
