Calls for the government to stop a mass redundancy at British Airways are continuing

Croydon Central MP Sarah Jones says, “so many people in Croydon have been in touch about this, desperately worried.”

Elsewhere, Aviation Minister Kelly Tolhurst has responded to a letter from Twickenham MP Munira Wilson.

Mrs Tolhurst says that she’s met with the head of BA’s parent company and the unions, and she’s asking them to “engage constructively.”

She also says the Government has put out an “unprecedented” package of support for workers.
