Elmbridge Council is taking action on so-called "slumboats" moored without permission between Weybridge and Hampton Court

The authority says the boats are unsightly and hazardous and have also been attracting antisocial behaviour.

A letter has been sent to the Environment Agency requesting assertive action to clear these vessels from the Thames.
