Providers gained equipment from three sources, the government, business donations, and the council.
While the council intended for their service to be used as a last resort, many providers used it as their main or only source of supply.
They’re now waiving the fee for any PPE bought from them before the 13th of July.
The cost going forward will be based on the price Surrey has paid for the stock with no profit sought.
