People in Richmond and Hounslow have been reassured rumours of a second lockdown in the two boroughs are untrue.

Richmond Council says reports on social media amount to scaremongering.

They say the borough’s infection rate is low, and residents should base their actions on the evidence.

In neighbouring Hounslow, where infection rates are above the National average, the council says there are no plans for a local lockdown.
