Pilots working for British Airways are being urged to accept a range of measures, including pay cuts, to avoid more job losses

The union Balpa says the package includes part-time working and slashing salaries initially by a fifth, with pay recovering over the next few years.

Pilots are being balloted on the deal, which also involves around 270 compulsory redundancies.
