Richmond Park’s MP says she’s seen an increase in the amount of constituents writing to her about “an enormous rise in traffic.”

Lib Dem Sarah Olney is encouraging people to think about how they can introduce walking into their daily commute.

Over 50% of car journeys made are under 2 miles.

The increase in traffic over the last few weeks has been exacerbated by roadworks required to facilitate social distancing.

The main travel hotspots are around Kingston and Richmond Bridges which have seen vehicle lanes reduced from two to one.
