Sutton MP Paul Scully will need to self-isolate after getting back from Lanzarote

Spain's foreign minister insists the country IS safe for tourism, after the UK government imposed a quarantine for travellers coming back from there.

Arancha Gonzalez Laya has also revealed authorities there are trying to convince ministers here to exclude the Balearic and Canary islands from the rules.

They only changed last night following an increase in cases in parts of the country.

Sutton MP Paul Scully will need to self-isolate after getting back from Lanzarote.

The Transport Secretary Grant Shapps will also need to, as he’s also in Spain.
