Thousands of square metres of land have been burnt in a fire near Wisley

Crews received 47 calls to a stretch of land on the A3 northbound between Ripley and Wisley.

The cause is unknown.

Surrey Fire and Rescue gave thanks to all involved, saying “great by all in locating the fire and bringing it under control quickly”.
