The 50-year-old family business Johnsons Shoes Company has been acquired by Leeds based Daniel Footwear.
The Retail Bulletin says Johnsons ran into difficulty as a result of rising rent, business rates, online competition and the economic crisis.
The company’s other stores in New Malden, East Sheen and Richmond have ceased trading.
