Two sisters from King Athelstan Primary School in Kingston are celebrating this week, after the results of this year’s National Skipping Challenge were announced


This year’s winner is 10-year old Molly Irwin, with second place being awarded to Molly’s younger sister, 8-year-old Jess.

Since the competition started in 2002, over 5000 children from 600 different schools have taken part.

Previous winners of the school’s cup include pupils from Merton and Richmond.
