Vulnerable people in Croydon will continue to receive food packages and support from the council after a Government scheme ends

The authority has, alongside voluntary groups, provided almost 4,000 food parcels to those most in need since lockdown began.

But the government has announced that its support for shielded residents across the country will stop on July the 31st.

The change will affect over 2,000 people in Croydon registered on the government’s shielded list.
