A man from Fulham who suffocated his girlfriend as part of an eighteen month campaign of abuse has been jailed for 2 and a half years.

23 year-old Chakib Aoual subjected his victim to physical and emotional abuse, .

He trashed her home, spent £40,000 she’d inherited, threatened to kill her dog and hid her glasses so she couldn’t leave her flat.

Aoual, of Fulham Gardens SW6, was also given a restraining order to prevent him contacting the woman when he was sentenced at isleworth Crown Court.
