A number of sites across SW London and Surrey have been given protected status.

They include the Kennedy Memorial in Runnymede.

The memorial garden was as a memorial to President John F Kennedy, who was assassinated in November 1963.

Historic England worked with the Gardens Trust to draw up the list, which includes housing estate grounds and industrial sites.

Fieldend in Twickenham and Roper’s Garden have also been listed.
