Army major from West Byfleet talks to Radio Jackie about his mammoth fundraising feat for #HopeforHasti

An army major from West Byfleet who walked 700 miles barefoot to raise thousands of pounds to treat his daughter is finally back home.

Chris Brannigan trekked 700 miles from Lands End to Edinburgh for 8 year old Hasti who has “Cornelia de Lange.”

The syndrome causes reduced growth, speech difficulties and limb abnormalities.

Hasti is just one of 400 people in the UK to have it.

Chris, who is aiming to raise £1 million from this challenge, £620,000 of which has already been raised.

The family's final target is £2.5 million to provide treatment for others living with life-limiting conditions.
