As the temperature soars, Jackie's Lucy Mayer is on call with RNLI Teddington which is urging us to #respectthewater and #floattolive

It’s the time of year when Londoners flock to the banks of the River Thames to enjoy the hot weather.

It’s also a time when the RNLI appeals to people to adhere to its key messages “respect the water” and “float to live.”

Tim James and Gianna Saccomani are volunteers at Teddington Lifeboat Station.

They've been chatting to Jackie's Lucy Mayer about the dangers of the river, what to do if you get into trouble, and how you can help keep the historic charity afloat in these uncertain times.
