A pub in Richmond which has raised just under £7,000 for the homeless has won an award

The Angel and Crown provided supplies and organised accommodation for rough sleepers during lockdown.

At its peak, it was serving 70 people a day from all over London.

It worked in collaboration with Twickenham-based charity SPEAR.

The pub won the Best Community Initiative award at the Hospitality Lockdown Hero Awards.
