A rise in domestic abuse has prompted a charity to raise public awareness to spot the signs and to speak up.

The UN has described the increase as a “shadow pandemic” alongside Covid-19.

“You Are not Powerless” is launching a new campaign across Surrey which has seen a 70% increase in abuse.

It has a team of professionals who can collate reports anonymously before passing them onto police to investigate.
