A teenage cancer charity has introduced a committee of young people who have been diagnosed with cancer themselves, called the “committeens”

Teens Unite works to support young people fighting the disease, with social actives and workshops.

23-year-old Mikhaila Corbett Hassit from Wimbledon says “you need to need find the silver linings in bad situations.”

She says she found her support network and best friends through the charity, and is now part of the Committee.

It will aim to improve the service and champion its work.
