Residents have reportedly complained that the “sand yellow” colour resembles baby human waste.
The authority says that they renovated the properties to improve energy efficiency, including external wall insulation.
The colour was originally going to be magnolia, but the Local Planning Authority required the change to yellow as a condition of its approval.
It says that there’s no evidence this has affected house prices, and that “the vast majority of tenants” are “very satisfied”.
