More than 100 million meals have been claimed during the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

It offered 50% off restaurant bills, up to £10, from Monday to Wednesday throughout August.

Many restaurants are now independently carrying the deal on, or doing something similar.

Sam Harrison, who ran Sam’s Brasserie in Chiswick until last year, is among them.

He says it's about getting customers through the door.
