People living across Spelthorne are getting an important letter in the post this week

The council is leafleting all homes outlining its concerns regarding Surrey County Council’s proposal to form a single, unitary authority.

 This would mean abolishing the county’s 11 district and borough councils.

Spelthorne says it’s concerned the proposal represents a significant threat to the delivery of services and democracy.

 Bosses also claim Surrey County Council has failed to consult with residents and the councils involved.
