Police in New Malden are investigating a number of thefts from elderly shoppers in the high street.

Two were reported mid-morning on Friday.

An elderly woman had her purse stolen from inside her handbag which was hanging on her walking frame while inside Poundland.

Another shopper was targeted in the British Heart Foundation charity shop.
