Several weapons were seized by officers across Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A total of 17 weapons were found during sweeps, vehicle searches and stop and searches.

They included a variety of knives, baseball bats and an iron bar.

Detective Inspector Yasser Awad from the Central West Gangs Unit said: this has “no doubt prevented further acts of violence.”
